Ophthalmology Today! Yay!!

That's a sarcastic "yay" by the way. But to be fair Dr Rom was her usual model of German efficiency, and I was in and out in an hour and a half (having already turned up late!)
I was trying to work out how old she is. She looks like she's in her late 30's but seems very knowledgeable for someone of that age. Plus she has mentioned retiring in 10 years?! Your guess is as good as mine..

Anyway, here's a pic of my usual coffee in the hospital cafe while my eyes try to adjust to the bright, harsh, mid morning cloudy sky's..?!

Here I am sat at Hereford railway station. It's 7 o'clock in the morning and I'm waiting for the 7.10 to Cardiff. If it all goes to plan I should make it in time for the 9.00am 'Dark Knight Rises' at Cardiff Cineworld... Oh yeah!

Here I am on a Saturday afternoon, sat waiting for Nan to wake up.

It's quite empty here without Grandad. Considering how many children, grandchildren and friends she has I'm surprised she doesn't have more visitors really.. Well, more disappointed than surprised. I mean what's half an hour or so out of your week!

Day 3

Here I am sat in Ascaris having a coffee and blood test. Just been to see Dr Corbett at Moorfields to discuss my recent blood donation. He was a new doctor and Iron Maiden fan, and was very pleasant. As my last bloods were high and the cholesterol was up, I was flagged for a follow chat. He was intrigued with the pump (having never seen one!) and we did the usual blood pressure (ok) and feet check (ok too)..

I don't wanna tempt fate but so far today's going ok..

Monday morning...

Here we are, killing time before I go and have Pump fitted..

Been a bit of a day so far. It's only 10 o'clock and my Grandad's in hospital after a heart attack yesterday, we've managed to pick up 3 copies of Herefordshire Society magazine (feature the bank Christmas ball photo's I took) and now I'm going to have an insulin pump fitted, which will change the rest of my life....
