McDonald's ... The 'not so' fast food restaurant..

Ever had one of those mornings when you should have stayed in bed.. Although to be fair, I never get those days when I'm in Cardiff.

Firstly the cinema times for today were rubbish.. I soon found out that two showings would be out of the question if I wanted to finish at 4 today. So I booked in a late (by my standards) showing of Ridick at 12.30. Well I figured I could kill some time with the camera so I got out Graham's bike. Now I fitted a new tube and tyre last week and the pressure on the rear was a little low. After pumping it up I thought I'd be clever an adjust the spokes as the wheel wasn't running true.. What a fu*king mistake that was! It's now 12.15 and I've spent all morning try to fix a buckled wheel that wasn't really that buckled till I got my idiotic hands on it!?! I think the phrase "Each to there own" applies here.. Three f*$king hours wasted! This f*%king film better be good...

Oh and in case you are wondering what the photo's all about,  it's a new one on me.. Granted I haven't been to a McDonalds restaurant in Cardiff since the dawn of man.. But it turns out they've now implemented a 'cheese counter' ticket system to get your grub.. I dunno, technology eh?

Early start..

Decided to break with tradition this morning and took the bike down to Ascaris. It's been ages since I was last here this early in the morning and it's still inhabited with middle class, Daily Mail readers (see pic). In fact the only paper in the rack is the Mail..
It was quite sad with Anthony not being here too.. Never thought I'd miss the cigar chewing Italian...

Here I am again in ophthalmology. Opted for a double expresso today. Haven't had one of these for ages. Not sure if it tastes as good out of a cardboard cup though..
The glare off the snow's going to be a bit of a problem with my current 'wide eyed' look..! Still I always carry a pair of 3D glasses which may come in handy.

Expressos don't last too long either..
Back to work it is then..

Ophthalmology Today! Yay!!

That's a sarcastic "yay" by the way. But to be fair Dr Rom was her usual model of German efficiency, and I was in and out in an hour and a half (having already turned up late!)
I was trying to work out how old she is. She looks like she's in her late 30's but seems very knowledgeable for someone of that age. Plus she has mentioned retiring in 10 years?! Your guess is as good as mine..

Anyway, here's a pic of my usual coffee in the hospital cafe while my eyes try to adjust to the bright, harsh, mid morning cloudy sky's..?!

Holy Sh*t! I've just seen James Dean Bradfield in Cardiff... Shopping... Like a normal human being..!! I did realise rock gods shopped... I was too awe struck to say anything.. What an idiot!
