38 Mins and counting...

It's the 31st December and once again I'm the only one who has the stamina to stay up and see in the new year..(well me and the cat that is..) I've got a nice bottle of red, breathing nicely and Casino Royal is on the box. I wonder if any one else will join me in the next.... 34 mins..? Next year I'll have to try something more... exicting. At the current rate I can't distinguish one New Year from the last...

Here I am again in my most favourite place on the planet. Getting ready to watch an advanced screening of Yes Man. The good thing about advanced screening is that there's no adverts, only trailers.. Fantastic! I'll let you know if its any good..

... monday morning. Another lovely morning and a lame attempt to capture it with my phone!! Still it's Dark Knight day today and only 2 and a half weeks till christmas .. Yee haa!!

Nice sky but...

Yeah its a lovely view I took the other night, but the main reason for this entry is because we're in Cardiff! Heading in to town for a bit of christmas shopping. Then tomorrow its ice skating at the Winter Wonderland. (Ooo and a go on the big wheel!) Why are weekends so short??

Here we are again. Cold, wet and stuck in a bloody caravan. When will it end. Oh well, look on the bright side... oh no wait a minute, there isn't one.... Never mind Cardiff next weekend, can't come soon enough.

Oh dear, looks like we have a problem. Never mind they'll sort it out. Still not a bad night all in all. Ghost Town was quite funny. Laura enjoyed High School Musical III.. Not sure about Liz though...

Dog show 2008

Last weekend (13th September) and here's Laura at Burghills top dog show! It was a good turnout and the weather was gorgeous (for a change!) Unfortunately we didn't win anything, but Laura enjoyed it! Plus they had a good laugh on the model train...

Another bloody crash.. Look where you're going..!?

I've been off the road for exactly a week now, following my 'crash'. Fortunately the bike was unhurt. I came off worse.

I didn't think I'd feel this crap but it's surprising how regular exercise makes you feel better and lack of it doesn't. I'm still aching a bit but what ever happens I've gotta get back on the bike asap..

Well, I finaly biked to Cardiff! It took about 5 1/2 hours but it was worth it... With any luck I'll stop going on about it.

Another day, another puncture..

Buy 3 tubes get 1 free seemed a little excessive at the time. But it turns out it was a wise investment... bloody punctures... again. Oh and look, its raining. Can the day get any better?!?

Well, this was supposed to be another warm up session before my Cardiff run but so far I've only managed 11 miles and it looks like it's gonna rain... Oh it is raining.. great!

New addition number 3

Here's the third calf to join the Mostyn herd. Although strictly speaking this isn't one of the family. She's been adopted following the still-birth of a calf early this morning. Hope her mum takes to her ok..

We made it! Although last night we ended up in temporary accomodation. This photo doesn't do the pool justice. It's about 10m long! Looks like the kiddies pool! Never mind, hopefully the beach'll be better..

It's 10.30 (local time) and here we are sat in our coach waiting for the final stage of our trip. I'm listening to some weird local radio station playing Pink Floyd, Money... fantastic. All I need now is a beer..

It's Prom Night!

It's the end of another school year and this week Laura also had here Prom (more photo's here). It was a good night and she looked beautiful (I'm not biased or anything!) In September she's off to Whitecross

Three counties Victory!!

Here's Laura with one of the prize winning cows at this years Three Counties Show. They had a First, Third, Fourth and Reserve Champion. Not bad.. Liz's parents came on the Sunday. A good show all in all...

Take it easy.. not far to go.

I dont care what anyone says there's no way you can look cool wearing a bike helmet.. despite my best efforts. This is on bridge sollars bridge. Having only gone 22 miles, I've probably got another 2-3 to go. Still, it aint been a bad afternoon.

Take a look at this beauty! I'm out at Lock's garage, Allensmore and this should give me enough fuel to get home. It's only been 12 miles but in this heat it feels like 20 plus.

Here comes summer.

It's the first of june and it's all gone pear shaped today.. First of all my Nan fell down the stairs and ended up in the hospital. She's ok.. a bit bruised. The cow pictured, was impaled by dad and his killer tractor. Fortunately it survived to moo another day.. Oh, and I've lost my keys.. Roll on the summer...

Bank holidays are great..

Ok, we're nearly there.. Wales that is! If the traffic stays like this it's gonna be a long journey... At least the sun's out..

New shoes..

Well, this morning I was sure I'd broken my personal best.. I bombed along, averaging 16.1 and still only just broke the 20 minute mark.?! The new shoes did help though,, particularly up the hills. Took a bit of getting used to (fell over once... very amusing!)

One week on..

Well it's been over a week and the collection certainly has grown...still it's no less sad..

I took this yesterday on my way back home. I only managed to get in 15 miles, which is a normal days commute for me. Looks like I'm not gonna be fit enough for the bank holiday trip I'd planned...

It's "Bike to work week"..

Yeah right.. like I need an excuse. Next month I would have been biking to and from work for 12 months. Let's hope I'll be saying that again in another 12 months... Today Liam biked in (??!) Well at the moment the weathers perfect for it..

Leominster morrisons. Ok so it's only 6 miles from the last one, but I've gotta pace myself.. Any how, I'm not quite sure where I'm heading now..

Well is's hot today. I've just stopped at Queenswood for an ice-cream and 5 minutes break. Then I'm gonna head towards Leominster and see where the road takes me...

The next day..

This time yesterday this road was closed. This is the reason why. The victim was an 18 year old called Kieran. He was the passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver (who's up in court today). You see lots of sights being on a bike, but this is quite profound (not sure if thats the right word) but you know what I mean. It puts things in perspective...

Think that's gonna stop me? Ok, here I am on the new Rotherwas bypass. It hasn't opened yet but as I'm on my bike I figured what the hell..

Well, why not treat my self. It's 10 to 9, once I stuffed this crap down me I'm gonna watch Ironman for the second time today! Whoo hoo! Yes, it's a good film. Plus it's bank holiday tomorrow.. Fantastic!!

Saturday nights alright for a after wedding do... apparently..

Here we are at canon pyon village hall for Jason and Emma's after wedding do. Emma looks beautiful, her dads pissed, there are kids dancing, a large crowd outside smoking, and no punches thrown... yet.. Typical wedding do really.

Last meal of a condemed man?

Actually that headings probably a bit harsh. Here we all are having a meal at Jasmin House a few days before Emma and Jason tie the knot this saturday. I tried to get a panoramic shot with the phone as you can see.. Umm.. interesting. Anyway the evening turned out equally odd. 34 turned up and only 32 chairs! People got upset.. as families do.. But fortunately no punches were thrown.. That'll be saturday... Anyway my meal was nice.

Here I am again, 6.50am walking the dogs. Well I'm not actually in the shot.. erm.. neither are the dogs.. but their out there, somewhere.. My point is, that's it's 6.50.. AM! Still it was a lovely, misty morning.

Friday, at last...

To say this week has been 'odd' would be an understatement. Last night I drank 1/2 bottle of red wine and fell out with the wife! The last couple of day's I've been taxi-ing my dad home and as a result haven't been on the bike. Wether or not this is the reason I'm monumentally pissed off is anyone's guess? But I'm gonna get back on it asap!

All night bike repairs..

Here I am, 9pm wednesday night repairing bikes. 2 punctures to be precise. Oh the excitement.. I need to get out more. Well, actually I just need to get out... I must live an exciting life if my blog contains photo's of me repairing my bikes! Next there'll be a shot of me cleaning my teeth. Oh the joy! Somebody kill me now...

What's going on?

Look at this nosey lot. Well I'm just as guilty. Two police cars, one doctor and a plain transit van.. Turn's out there was a dead body in there. Suspicious circumstances? I'll keep you posted.
